If you haven't considered purchasing life insurance, and you already have a family of your own, I would certainly recommend that you do some looking around.  Talk with your friends and see what life insurance company has worked well with them.  Disability is also a factor to consider.  If you are disabled and no longer able to work, what will you do?  Well, if you stipulate this type of insurance with your company, you can receive a disability policy.  We hate to think that this could happen, but we truly never know.
